Welcome to AniQ.eu – Where IT Curiosity Comes to Life

Posted on May 17, 2025

“The best way to learn is by breaking things and putting them back together better.”

🚀 For Those Who Love to Tinker

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering how your home router really works, or why VPNs can hide your tracks online, or you’ve stayed up late fiddling with a Linux configuration file just because it’s fun – welcome home.

AniQ.eu is a place built by a tinkerer, for tinkerers.

This site is where I share real-world tutorials, insights, and step-by-step guides based on the things I explore in my free time. As someone who works professionally as an IT specialist in a company developing and maintaining intelligent parking systems, I spend my days solving complex technical problems – but it’s the after-hours exploration that truly fuels my passion.

🛠️ What You’ll Find Here

This site will be packed with practical guides, covering topics like:

  • 🐧 Linux how-tos – from basic setup to advanced system tuning
  • 🔐 VPN tutorials – including OpenVPN, WireGuard, and privacy tips
  • 🌐 OpenWRT configurations – unlock the full power of your router
  • 🎮 Gaming tweaks & hosting game servers – for fun, because why not
  • 🧰 System tools, scripts, utilities – things I build or use daily

Whether you’re trying to secure your home network, set up a cloud server, or just want to understand what iptables is doing – there will be something here for you.

🧩 Built with Curiosity (and Coffee)

This site isn’t a corporate knowledge base. It’s a place where passion and curiosity meet. Every tutorial I write is tested, broken, fixed, and tested again – usually over several cups of coffee and after a few headaches.

I believe in learning by doing. You’ll find command-line examples, screenshots, and real-world configs. No fluff. No “click here and trust the magic.” I’ll always try to explain why something works, not just how to copy-paste it.

🌍 Join the Community of Thinkers

You’re not alone in this. If you’re someone who:

  • Likes to understand why things work the way they do
  • Enjoys the challenge of configuring systems manually
  • Believes that documentation should be clear and hands-on
  • Fixes things for fun

Then you’re in the right place. Bookmark the page. Subscribe to updates. Or better yet, start tinkering along with me and let’s learn together.

👨‍💻 Who’s Behind AniQ.eu?

Hi, I’m Patrik – IT specialist by day, Linux enthusiast and DIY sysadmin by night. I work on mission-critical systems for managing parking infrastructure, but in my free time I dive into the open-source world, write scripts, flash routers, and build things from scratch – just because I can.

This website is my digital lab notebook. You’re invited to read along, learn from my mistakes, and hopefully avoid a few of your own.

DID YOU KNOW?

In 1969, humans first walked on the Moon during NASA's Apollo 11 mission. Neil Armstrong’s iconic words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind,” marked a new era in space exploration.

A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE

By 2035, autonomous vehicles are expected to make up over 25% of all road traffic. With AI-driven transport systems, the world is moving closer to safer, more efficient, and eco-friendly mobility.

HISTORY MEETS INNOVATION

The Library of Alexandria, once the largest and most significant library of the ancient world, inspired the creation of modern digital archives. Today, entire civilizations’ knowledge can be stored on a single chip smaller than a fingernail.
